At the customer's request, after verifica;on and determina;on of the necessary scope of work, we also regenerate tool holders for center lathes such as TUM, TUB, TUG, TUJ, etc.
What is the tool post for and how is it built
The 4-knife tool post is a part of a conven;onal lathe assembly and is mounted on its tool support.
The tool post is used to mount four tools (turning knives) for machining details made on a lathe. Most often it is equipped with a locking mechanism (bolt), which allows for quick tool change and its secure fixation in the axis of the workpiece.
The tool holder is made of, among others, the following parts:
1. A body with a base plane for afaching turning tools.
2. Clamping screws for screwing the turning tools.
3. A lever blocking the post from turning the post on the tool carrier.
4. A bolt for positioning the holder's rotation
